Comic-Con: John Wick prequel series The Continent to premiere in September

The upcoming John Wick event series, a trilogy of movies from director and executive producer Albert Hughes, finally has an air date.

Mainland: From John Wick will premiere in September 22. This will be followed by a second night in September 22 and a third night on October 6th.

The announcement was made during the Peacock episode panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Hughes joined executive producer Marshall Persinger and a creative team that included action supervisor Lanel Stovall, production designer Drew Bowton and editor Ron Rosen.

This prequel to the popular action movie series will explore the origins behind the iconic Assassin’s Hotel at the center of the John Wick universe and see through the eyes and actions of a young man named Winston Scott as he is dragged into the hellscape of 22 New York City, confronting a past he believes has been left behind.

Scott is a key character in the Wick film as the hotel manager, played by Ian McShane. Colin Woodall plays a young Scott in the play, which also includes Mel Gibson, Michelle Prada, Ben Robson, Jessica Allen and more. 22
