American Digital Publishers Comikey announced Thursday that its Japanese partner Link-U and Korean publisher D&C MEDIA have launched a new webcomic studio Studio Tokyo’s Moon 6. Studio Moon 6 aims to create a webtoon “NovelToons” based on light novels and web novels. The company is looking for a catalog of Japanese novels and D&C’s for webtoon adaptations. The site is scheduled to launch in September. Link-U’s Hidenori Hirafumi will be the CEO of Studio Moon 6. Link-U will provide its knowledge and connections with Japanese publishers. The company will also handle distribution in Japan. D&C MEDIA, , the publisher of , will provide original novels as source material, utilize their knowledge in webcomic production, and be responsible for distribution in Korea , Sales and Marketing.
Comikey will distribute and localize Studio Moon 6’s webcomic outside of Japan and Korea. Comikey New iOS Mobile apps and Android devices in April. Source: Press Release
