Colorado’s CJ Cron hit a 504-foot two-pointer in the fourth inning Friday night, taking advantage of Coors Field’s homer-friendly limit as he hooked on a left-field foul shot and flew out of the stadium .
Cron’s 27th homer of the season is tied with Statcast’s second-longest since 2015, when Nomar Mazara of Texas Hit 505 feet in 2019, Miami’s Giancarlo Stanton also hit 504 feet in 2016 at Colorado. Just two days ago, Milwaukee slugger Christian Yelich hit a 499-footer into the third tier in a 10-7 win over the Rockies at Coors Field.
Cron’s huge two-pointer ended five innings and gave the Rockies an 8-1 lead over Arizona State in a 13-10 win.
The 32-year-old Crowe played his strength in the Rockies this year, making his first All-Star Game. He’s three home runs away from his career-high 30 home runs set in 2018.
