Broadcaster Renewed Rick and Morty Co-Creator Dan Harmon ‘s upcoming animated series ahead of his 2023 series premiere.
“As you can imagine, everything Dan Harmon does is unwavering and imbued with his signature bold characters; These early episodes of Krapopolis far exceeded even our highest expectations,” said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Entertainment. “It was a joy to see Dan and his team work their magic on Krapopolis as we continue to grow Fox’s animation brand. However, for this particular It’s an even greater excitement that the project is so confident that it can be rewarded with an early update.”
Krapopolis is “set in mysterious ancient Greece and tells the story of a dysfunctional human being, a family of gods, and monsters trying to run the world’s first city — not trying to kill each other.”
The show is directed by Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Richard Ayo De (IT Crowd), Matt Berry ( What We Do in the Shadows ), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders) and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel ).
Krapopolis is Fox’s first wholly owned animated series, produced by the company’s animation studio Bento Produced by Box Entertainment.
