) Minnesota Timberwolves guard D’Angelo Russell apparently still has some bad feelings from one of his former teammates.
Former NBA player Nick “Swaggy P” Young recently told Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated , Russell will be the one league player he wants to face in the ring . Russell heard Young’s comments and responded on Twitter: D’Angelo Russell @Dloading My name stays relevant and I’m going to carry “I wouldn’t do that” #CarryOn
The feud between Russell and Young stemmed from their Los Angeles teammates’ time with the Lakers in 2016, when Russell secretly recorded Young’s admission of cheating on his then-fiancee, Iggy Azalea. Russell allegedly uploaded the video to the internet in what was described as a “prank gone wrong”. The incident reportedly resulted in Russell being isolated from the rest of the Lakers locker room. He was eventually traded from Los Angeles to the Brooklyn Nets in 2017. Young played his last NBA game with the Denver Nuggets in 2018.
