Daniel Cormier apologises to Darren Thiel after Twitter misunderstanding: 'I'm sorry I'm drunk'

Daniel Cormier and Darren Thiel had a hilarious argument on Twitter late Saturday night after UFC San Diego fight . Thiel is a UFC middleweight and former welterweight title challenger who likes to stir the pot from time to time. This exchange with former UFC double champion Cormier was no exception.

Since retiring in 2020, Cormier has remained active at the UFC as a color commentator and analyst for ESPN, covering various A variety of UFC fight night shows and pay-per-view cards. Cormier also hosts a weekly show on ESPN called “DC and RC” with former Super Bowl champion Ryan Clark.

As for Till, he’s working hard to win the new heavyweight class. He is currently No. 9 in a division that has the likes of Israel Adesanya, Paulo Costa, Marvin Vettori and Robert Whittaker.

An entire twitter thread spanning several messages shows Thiel hilariously demanding that Cormier should not comment on Charles Oliveira and The lightweight champion of the UFC 280 main event between Islam Makhachev.

Cormier’s reply was taken seriously Till’s final pushback.

Darren, I have better for you expectations. I’ve called up multiple teammates to fight. Honestly, my comment doesn’t affect the judge or anything honest. Most of the time, my team gets mad at me because they think I’m going too far in other directions. Do better till!

Cormier’s comments are sometimes considered biased, but Still, the former double loves the good times now and again, and who can blame him, right?

Won one of the last five games until now, there are currently no scheduled fights at press time. It remains to be seen who he will fight, but regardless, Till remains an interesting character in the MMA space.
