First Trailer for Warner Bros. and DC Blue Beetle has arrived.
The trailer, released Monday, introduces viewers to Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate who encounters an alien The Scarab is later given the psychic armor and must embrace his newfound powers while uncovering why the Scarab was sent to Earth. In the comics, the character lives in El Paso, Texas, but in the movie he will reside in the city of Palmela created for the project.
Cobra Kai Actor Xolo Maridueña to star in director Angel Manuel Soto and writer Gareth’s feature film Dunnet- Alcocer. It’s DC’s first movie centered on a Latino superhero, and Jaime Reyes’ family is a key part of it.
“The family aspect of the film and the characters is inherent to the comics and very special,” Maridueña told Hollywood Reporter last year. “The family we create in the movie—mom, dad, uncle, sister, grandmother—I feel like that aspect of being a superhero is underused.”
Blue Beetle was also one of three DC movies made before James Gunn and Peter Safran were hired to run
DC Studios . The Flash (June 16) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom(December72) is someone else. The fate of these franchises is uncertain as Gunn and Safran are planning their own DC roster. Executives said there was nothing stopping any of these actors or characters from continuing, though their original plans did not include known characteristics to play the characters ).
