Demi Moore Is the Epitome of Rich Mom Energy in White Jeans and Teva Sandals

White jeans are the ultimate symbol of Rich Mom energy (just one of the many TikTok aesthetics to be born so far in 2023), and Demi Moore went all-in on this upscale aesthetic this week wearing white high-waisted jeans with a white T-shirt. The outfit was completed with a splattering of “Rich Mom” essentials: car keys (our money is on a Tesla or a Mercedes), aviator sunglasses, a red glossy pedicure, an Apple Watch and a Fendi raffia bag with a logo as big as the bag.

In many ways the outfit is exactly what you’d expect a 60-year-old Hollywood star to wear to run errands in the Hills, however her choice of footwear was a little more relatable. Moore is the latest A-list star to fall for the comfort of a pair of Teva’s Midform Universal sandals, wearing a pair with a one-inch sole in (you guessed it) bright white. The elevated base gives any outfit a little extra lift and the velcro straps mean that it is very comfortable across the foot.

In 2019, Teva transitioned from a practical choice to a fashion crowd favorite, and they were named the trendiest shoe of the year by Lyst. In a story published on Vogue in that year Mark Magruder, senior product line manager at Teva, explained: “The iconic styling resonates with the casual outdoor girl, while our new platforms and heights allow for the urban fashion-driven consumer to be represented as well.”

Four years later, and the Teva fan club is still going strong: this “fashion-driven consumer” now includes Mary-Kate Olsen, Katie Holmes and Chloë Sevigny, who have all helped to change the direction of this once techy brand. This year it even launched a collaboration with Chloé, where the stacked sandals were adorned with logo-branded bows. Velcro straps have never been so cool.
