All aboard Dior.
Today, the French fashion house launched its first wellness cruise in Paris, a floating full-service spa on the Seine, aboard a luxury riverboat. At first, it’s hard to find – no fixed address, and a taxi is required to drop you somewhere along Henry’s Wharf in the fourth arrondissement. Then, you need to walk up a flight of stone steps to the river bank.
Once you do, it’s impossible to miss. In front of the berth is a giant photo wall featuring the Dior logo, designed to encourage selfies and social media moments before stepping aboard. Once aboard, however, there’s more: Toile de Jouy parasols and rattan sun loungers abound on the spacious wood-paneled deck, which also features a mosaic pool and a bar serving freshly mixed green juices.
The lodge below has a calming cream-coloured lounge with plush carpets so pristine you might worry about stepping on them with your shoes on. Don’t worry, the waiter will put them in a rattan box and give you a pair of Dior monogrammed slippers for you to wear if you wish.
