Distraught Gasly says AlphaTauri 'thrown away' F1 Singapore Grand Prix

The Frenchman’s performance in the top seven in the first half has been easy, before the team needed to change the slick tyres when the track dries out.

But since the track was not ready for dry tyres, the team was called too early, which put Gasly down in the rankings. He eventually came home in 10th place.

After the race, Gasly said he did not understand why AlphaTauri decided to take a bet on the timing of the switch, especially since the teams that stopped later got so many chances

Speaking after the conclusion, Gasly said: “I don’t think we’re doing well. We’re seventh, two Aston Martins ahead, track position. We have everything in our hands, we Throw it away because we decided too early.

“No communication, no dialogue, and I don’t fully understand why. We took a gamble when we didn’t need to. So we got punched and everyone stayed on the track and we were overtaken by four cars. ”

Gasly speaks out, latecomers like Sebastian Vettel, Lance Stroll and May Daniel Ricciardo of the Kelvin got a lot, incredibly hard to accept as it opened the door for Aston Martin to overtake his team in the Constructors’ Championship.

“Obviously I’m very disappointed with the whole team and all of us because we dropped to ninth in the team championship,” he said. “Daniel was behind us, far behind, [but] not on the way. On track, as we should, and finished P5.

“This is where we lost a 9 and an important 9. So yeah, I’m just sad. Not happy with our performance.”

Gasly said that if teams had asked him about track conditions while they were parked, he would have advised them not to participate.

“It’s too early,” he said. “I don’t understand why we’re doing this. I haven’t spoken to them and obviously that’s something we’ll be reviewing.

“They have a reason to do it, but at least we should communicate that it’s not.

“Where we are, you are ahead of your two main competitors, you have a track location in Singapore, the weather is dry, you know the warm-up is going to be tricky.. ….I don’t think there’s any point in taking risks like that. We just dropped our stance.”

AlphaTauri was even more disappointed by the result in Singapore Yuki Tsunoda ventured onto the track on slick tires And lost control in wet sections.
