NEW YORK – Yankees catcher Kyle Eastoka has been announced as

Winners of 1st Annual Thurman Munson Awards Dinner, recognizing success and inspiration on the field and community spirit off the field.

Also selected for the Monson Award is the Metropolitan Team outfielder Brandon Nemo, Mets manager Buck Showalter and LPGA champion and World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sörenstam. A gala dinner is scheduled for February 7th at Pier Sixty in Chelsea Piers, New York.

Tina Cervasio and Michael Kay will host the awards ceremony and dinner Co-hosts, pay tribute to the late Yankees captain whose life was tragically cut short by the August 2nd plane crash, 249.
