Ottawa International Film Festival (OIAF) announced Saturday Mountain Village Koji ‘s Shibei ( Ikuta no Kita) animation film won this year’s award for feature-length animation. Atsushi Wada’s “Peninsula Bird” (“Hantō no Tori”) animation short won the short animation award and Sumito Sakakibara ‘s “lizuna” Fair” won Best Non-narrative Short Film Award. Mizoguchi Hiroyuki ‘s Fluffy Time: PuiPui & MuuMuu “The Selfish GyuGyu” Animated film entered the competition for the young audience of 3 years and older, Konigiri-Kun Parasol of Miyazawa Mari Animated films entered the competition in the young audience category of seven years and older. The festival also screened several works in its animated series competition, but no Japanese works were screened in the category.
