Drew Barrymore will host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards in Los Angeles.
The talk show host and iconic actress will take the stage at Barker Hangar on May 7 for MTV’s annual awards ceremony honoring scripted and unscripted film and television The biggest and best of the bunch, it will air internationally in over 50 countries.
During her decades-long career, Barrymore has been nominated for nine MTV Movie and TV Awards and won three Golden Popcorn Awards. Her first was Best Kiss in Wedding Singer . She also won Best On-Screen Team for Charlie’s Angels and best Best Talk Show/Feature Program MTV Movie & TV Awards: Improv. In 281, Barrymore and Sandler, who have starred side by side in multiple projects, were named ” A dynamic duo”.
To announce her hosting gig,

“And now, for the big Drew news story, we go to our special correspondent M3GAN,” she said. “Thank you, Drew,” Barrymore told the talk show host about her take on the horror movie role. “I actually have news for you: You are hosting the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. How exciting.”
Barrymore went on to say that she is looking forward to the show and it’s all about the fans. “Big moment, huuuuuuuge movie star,” she said. “Cocaine Bear, are you free on May 7th?”
