Drew Goddard is getting into animation.
The Martian and Bad Times at the El Royale The writer and director are working on FX. Cable has ordered a pilot for a project called The Trenches, which follows a family of modern-day Monster Hunters.
This item is from the 20th TV animation by Floyd County Productions (Archer) as an animation studio. Goddard has a comprehensive deal with ABC Signature, like th and FX are under the Disney umbrella.
The Trenches is one of several pilots FX has ordered in recent weeks. It joins the drama The Bends from Paul Attanasio (House, Donnie Brasco
) and answer , writer Kit Steinkellner (Sorry for your loss), and executive producers Danny Strong and Darren Aronofsky. The export’s animation roster currently includes the long-running Archer as well as Little Demon, Dicktown and the short A showcase of Cake, all of which are running on sister channel FXX.
Goddard will executive produce The Trenches with his Goddard Textiles Company President Sarah Esberg.
Goddard’s credits also include Netflix’s Daredevil, Cloverfield, Lost and Alias
