During NYFW, The Mulberry Opens Its Doors With a First-Class Gala

With a background in music and entertainment, Meynell was the VP of Creative at TSX Entertainment by day and co-founder of The Mulberry by night. He is joined by Leo Jacob, current director of marketing for the Bowery and Chelsea Hotels, whose passion for portrait photography can be seen in Jacob’s titled “New York Is Dead? Long Live New York.”

The third founding partner, Justin Sievers, is the brains behind The Mulberry pub. A hospitality industry veteran with Locanda Verde and Bar Primi on his resume, Sievers serves cocktails that are beautifully presented without being overly complicated. “Some are serious classics, but some are fun and help represent the bar’s identity, like Black Velvet.” Meynell laughs. “A classic cocktail that combines the elegance of Champagne with the comfort of Guinness, capturing the spirit of the bar.”

The dynamic trio reimagines a blank Canvas basement and licensed Enter a funky modern speakeasy with just the right bells and whistles. “When it came to the design, we knew we wanted an elevated space, but this also touched on the design of a true bygone era in New York City,” explains Menell.

Neither masculine nor feminine, neither retro nor modern, neither rod nor dive, thanks to design studio Ateljé Nordöst, Mulberry feels both familiar and unprecedented See. Speaking of one-of-a-kind decor, Swedish artist Emelie Törling is responsible for the stunning abstract murals that surround the dance floor. And, yes, the line for the restroom is worth it when the restroom is a marble, dreamlike experience.

On opening night, The Muses and guest emcee Alison Mosshart from The Kills were on the emcee stage, and Robbie and her group of girls were photographed enjoying the show to the beat of ABBA’s biggest hits. night dancing. Nearby, Stan and Wallis lounge comfortably in a corner box under a disco ball. As the clock ticked past midnight, two facts stood out clearly in my mind. The night is definitely still young and The Mulberry is meant to be the lighthearted cool place to see and be seen- That is, if you can get through the door.
