DWCS: Farid Basharat snuffs out Allan Begosso’s decision victory
The Dana White Contender Series show is wrapping up its 6th season and will host one of the three remaining cards for 2022.
In the main event, two bantamweight fighters battled and left, hoping for a coveted UFC contract.
Javid Basharat’s brother, Farid Basharat, was the highlight of the game against Brazilian Allan Begosso. The first round started, and Begosso showed bettors that they might be underestimating his skills. With two minutes remaining, the fight entered the canvas and Begoso grabbed Basarat by the neck. After that failed submission, Begoso went to Basharat’s leg, but that attempt also failed. The fight ends on Begosso’s back.
The second round started much like the first, the two exchanged time, but then Basharat pushed Begosso to the ground. Unfortunately, Basharat couldn’t get a good enough position to surrender due to the walls of the cage, but instead landed on the ground and hit hard and controlled Begosso to end the round with his own blood.
- Bantamweight: Fareed Basharat defeats Alan Begozo (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) by Unanimous Decision
The fight goes into the third round, and it looks like Begozo might be miserable. He came out of the corner with fire in his eyes, but it was a flash in the pan and Basharat brought him back to the canvas with three minutes left in the fight. After a lot of ground and pounds, they went to the scorecard.
