Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing has announced that defending champion Dylan Ferrandis will compete in round 11 of the Ironman National this weekend. The Frenchman missed the first eight rounds of the 2022 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, hurting his thumb during a press conference before the opening round.
Ferrandis returned to the Unadilla Nationals in the ninth round, grabbing a head start in Game 1 before finishing seventh overall with a 4-10 record. He was given a one-point penalty in the first moto for “jumping the wheel on the lamp/flag in the 13th quarter.”
#1 finished sixth in the moto and then got an early second moto with Justin Barcia to end his day early.

We heard Ferrandis was knocked down in a car accident, he will try the ride on Thursday and assess how he is doing this weekend. However, the team announced that he was officially out this weekend. He is expected to play in the final in California next weekend. Ferrandis will return to the team in 2023 after re-signing with the team in May 2022.
