The Cannes Film Festival kicks off today, with two weeks of red carpet action taking place on the Croisette. But perhaps as glamorous as the couture gowns and jewels were the ensembles seen en route, as stars often arrive at Nice airport in Riviera-inspired ensembles. Of course, Elle Fanning’s arrival attire proved that Cannes is consistent when it comes to fashion, even at the airport.
When she arrived at Nice airport before heading to Cannes, the American starred as Catherine the Great in Hulu’s The Great The actor was spotted wearing a casual look perfect for a summer in the south of France. She was wearing a cream see-through knitted T-shirt, white high-waisted tailored trousers, white leather flip-flops, and classic black round-frame sunglasses.
Just hours after arriving in Hollywood, stylist Samatha McMillen has shared on Instagram a photo of Fanning wearing one of her outfits for the campaign post. She wore a powder blue sheath slip dress with a plunging V neckline by Khaite and a matching scarf around her neck. Fanning adorned the dress with gold Cartier jewelry and a pair of high-heeled sandals by Maison Ernest. Airport dressing in the south of France is always chic, with an all-black kitsch suit or Kristen Stewart jeans and a tank top. With such a strong start, we can’t wait to see what else Fanning and McMillen look like for the rest of the festival.
