Emma Roberts wears many hats. She is an actress who starred in the romantic comedy Maybe I Do (released in January ), executive producer
of Hulu’s hit adaptation of the book Tell Me Lies , and, of course, the mother of her adorable two-year-old son Roz. With such a busy schedule, Roberts must have taken extra care with her grooming rituals. “Since I had my baby, I stopped giving myself a little extra [TLC] every day,” she admits. But despite some streamlining, her focused skincare regimen is still paying off. “It helped with my post-pregnancy melasma,” she says, noting that exfoliants and hyperpigmentation products are key factors. So, if Roberts had time in the world, what would she do? Here, she shows us her ideal routine, from a sculpting facial massage to prepping for mommy’s night out.
“I didn’t necessarily have a [skin care] routine until I got a little older,” yrs old, started at nine Performance. It wasn’t until she started developing acne after she habitually wore makeup on set that she began customizing her regimen. “I found that really interesting; I love researching new products [and] trying new products,” she explains. For Roberts, skincare always starts with a Biologique Recherche cleanser followed by a wipe with reusable organic bamboo pellets. This is followed by a gentle enzymatic peel (once a week), followed by a hydrating mask, facial massage, and eye cream applied to the orbital bone with the ring finger. To finish, she preps her skin with Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream, Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Sunscreen and Face Oil, while her eyes and lips are nourished with Wander Beauty’s Under Eye Stick and U Beauty’s Smoothing Lip Treatment.
For makeup, Roberts starts with foundation, color corrector, and full-coverage concealer to even out skin tone. She etched a peachy Chanel eyeliner along her waterline to awaken her gaze, then swept the brand’s rosy blush across her cheeks. The brows were brushed into place with wax, and her pout was accentuated with just a swipe of eyeliner. The ultimate touch of her out-of-town glamour? Sweep a bright highlighter on the high cheekbones and a smoky shadow along the lid. Finally, with a spritz of setting spray and a touch of oil, she’s ready for the night ahead.
