During use or when the product is turned on, hot waffles or fillings may eject from the waffle maker, which is harmful to consumption risk of burns.
Description:
This recall involves PowerXL Model ESWM02 (five-inch) and Model ESWM03 (seven-inch) Stuffed Waffleizer Waffles machine. The waffle maker is sold in 11 colors, including black, white, red, cinnamon, gray, lavender, lemon, ocean, slate, meerschaum, and sage. The PowerXL logo is on the top of the waffle maker. This product is approximately 5 inches in diameter (model ESWM02) or 7 inches in diameter (model ESWM03). The model and date codes are printed on a label on the power cords, and all date codes are included in this recall.
REMEDY:
CONSUMER Immediately stop using the recalled PowerXL Model ESWM02 (five-inch) and Model ESWM03 (seven-inch) Stuffed Waffleizer waffle makers and contact Empower Brands to receive free latch adapter parts and written instructions for completing the repair.
The company has received 44 incident reports, 34 of which resulted in burns, 3 of which required medical attention.
