In April 2020 the coronavirus pandemic shut down movie theaters, and extraction provided a welcome distraction. It’s a new action movie, and the tentacles have been suspended at the time. Netflix touted the film’s success and quickly greenlit the sequel. Now for a first look at Extraction 2 in action, with a feature in the new movie coming out next year.
The stunts and dangers teased in the new film are landing a helicopter on a moving train, and a longer “one” – one that appears to be a single shot scene.

Joe Russo wrote the script after the first film, which starred Hemsworth as Tyler Rake, a mercenary grieving the death of his son who finds a chance for redemption.
The film’s new look is part of Saturday’s Tudum, an online fan event produced by Netflix.
