Fantagraphics Description Comics:

High school student Minami’s girlfriend Chiyomi shrinks to six inches – and lives with him in this raunchy, heartwarming, and hilarious adult manga! Originally appeared in the 1980 underground/alternative manga magazine Garo and adapted for TV several times , Japanese pop culture sensation Minami’s Lover is the story of the romantic relationship of two high school students, one of whom shrinks to six inches tall. Everyone thinks that Chiyomi is missing, and the suspicion naturally falls on Minami, who is identified as her boyfriend in the diary. But after inexplicably finding herself in this state, Chiyomi moves in with him. As portrayed by Uchida’s clean, loose lines and Zip-a-Tone textures, the duo quickly adapted to their unusual surroundings, devising ways for Chiyomi to use the toilet, brush her teeth and hair, attend classes and more. After a series of silly trial and error, they even figured out sex. But in addition to learning how to navigate logistics, jealousy, and cats, they’re also growing (if not taller). Uchida examines gender dynamics and intimacy with the conceit of a teenage couple literally learning how to take care of each other.
