Fantasy allowed to adjust schedule Points, or aFPA, are 4for4’s answer to biased statistics. By removing bias, we can level the playing field and compare matchups on a “like-for-like” basis. Data changes as the season progresses. Regardless, aFPA is arguably the best tool for gaining an edge when using waivers and building rosters.

One more note: I can offer players like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes Almost every week, especially when they’re up against aFPA’s lousy unit. It’s a disservice to everyone, so I’ll do my best to avoid players in most fantasy leagues.

Here are the best games from the penultimate week of this column, Week 16. Conditions of play. Cold, snow, wind, rain, or a combination that makes conditions outside suboptimal will come into play in Week 16. not this! Jones was in Minnesota against a team that put the Indianapolis Colts to 33 points in the first half last week. The Vikings rank 31st in QB aFPA (32nd in WRs) and face an offense with low talent but high coaching acumen. First-year head coach Brian Daboll turned rotten fruit into fruitcake, and Jones was one of the beneficiaries this week. Since Week 5, the Vikings have allowed opposing quarterbacks more than 300 passing yards and/or multiple touchdowns per game. Jones also has good rushing ability, with 12 of 14 games of more than 20 yards.

Jerick McKinnon vs. Seattle Seahawks

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. McKinnon usage and production have both risen over the past three weeks. His matchup with Seattle could separate him from Isiah Pacheco for the remainder of the Fantasy and NFL playoffs. Seattle allowed a running back the second-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points, thanks to an average of six catches given up per game. McKinnon has 17 receptions over the past two weeks, in part due to an injury at the WR position. Even with Kadarius Toney returning and Mecole Hardman expected to return this week, it’s clear Mahomes trusts the veteran RB. McKinnon is putting up Austin Ekeler-like stats despite the waiver line pick, and again the Chiefs’ offense is operating at a different level.

Detroit Lions catcher, Carolina Panthers

Amon- Ra St. Brown is a weekly lock, but here are some deep receivers worth considering for the FLEX. Carolina ranks 30th in WR aFPA and is lacking in the secondary except for Jaycee Horn . Even though Horn is playing at the Pro Bowl level, he can’t shut down/slow down receivers himself. Carolina has been heavily attacked in the passing game, leading the defense to allow 14.14/158.29/0.79 per game to the position. The Panthers allowed five Steelers receivers in Week 15 and three Seahawks receivers in Week 14 for at least five catches, 60 yards and a touchdown. DJ Chark, Josh Reynolds and even Jameson Williams should be the last in your lineup players.

Arizona Cardinals Cade Orton

Buccaneers offense is not an ideal situation for unnamed players Mike Eyre Vince and Chris Godwin , but excitement is okay when the Cardinals are on the reserve list. Otton has had more steals every week since the team’s Week 11 bye and replaced Cameron Brate as TE1. Orton has been feast or famine since his bye, collecting 0, 5, 10 and 1 goals over the past month. Even as a low-end TE1 option this week, Otton’s upside could end up making him a top-five finisher at the position. Arizona has allowed 12 games in double digits for the 32nd-ranked defense in TE aFPA. Touchdowns are also tempting. Juwan Johnson and George Kittle each had two TDs against the Cardinals, while the Saints had two against Arizona Added a third tight end TD game to the game Taysom Hill actually ran a few routes. The Chiefs are another team with multiple TE touchdowns.

Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans defense

Tennessee has seen every The game’s sack rate and sack numbers are down, but it’s been productive at home. Their sack rate at home went from 5.98 percent to 6.48 percent, which isn’t great but notable, and the Titans get the Texans’ offense, allowing most of their schedule-adjusted fantasy points to go on defense. Between Davis Mills, Kyle Allen and Jeff Driskel, the QB position is Houston is throwing 1.14 TDs and 1.14 INTs per game. Houston’s sack rate and sacks per game are improving slightly starting in 2021, but if the offense continues without Brandin Cooks and/or Nico Collins, Texans WRs are capable of getting open-ended downs with Chris Moore the only remaining consensus target.

If you think the Titans have more coal in your inventory this week, aim for the Los Angeles Rams at home against the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day Team, this is an offensive opponent defense with gift-wrapped turnovers and sacks.

Note: Week 17 will be the last run of this column.
