Fed's George: Too early to predict rate hike in September

(Reuters) – Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank President Esther George said it was too early to predict how much the Fed will raise interest rates next month, with key reports on inflation and the labor market still pending.

“I think it’s too early to say…because we have some big numbers coming out,” George said in Jackson Hole, Wyoming In an interview with CNBC, Ernest said her bank is hosting its annual economic symposium, with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell set to deliver a keynote speech on Friday. The basis point for the third consecutive meeting next month may move the pace back to 50 basis point, George said: “No.”
