Find “Authentic Italian” at Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda celebration in Puglia

There is nothing to prepare people for their first Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda experience. While there is no ‘typical’ Alta Moda celebration, they all center around an event in a stunning and unique location (this year in Puglia), inviting clients and celebrities from around the world to preview (and be the first to attend the preview). BUY) a gorgeous fashion collection. They started out as a three-day run, and even though the clients loved it so much, they just wanted to stay. Year after year, day after day, until the whole extravaganza became what Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana now semi-sarcastically dub “Alta Moda Fashion Week.”

What I found was hedonistic, full of fashion, the five days of shows and shows centered around fashion and jewelry collections, guests showed up in costumes and sets that sometimes made the Met Gala look Like a Buddhist retreat.

Even though I wore a beautiful Dolce & Gabbana enamel printed kaftan dress to the party, I felt very understated. Other customers and reporters rolled their eyes when they learned that I was just a trainee for this order.

“Wait, is this your first alta fashion?” “Yes?” I replied , suddenly filled with shame. It seems impossible for anyone here not to be used to private chauffeurs and champagne-filled days. “Think of it as a baptism,” one of them said, with absolutely no irony. “It was a spectacle,” added Emanuele Farneti, editor-in-chief of D Repubblica. “Enjoy yourself.”

When I wandered in the middle of the millennium olive grove, overheard the

Alta Gioielleria (High Jewelry) ) series, an angelic man stands next to a petite but energetic woman in her octogenarians. His eyes gazed majestically at the Mediterranean horizon, while the client woman admired an intricate necklace with large stones the size of leaves and olives at the end.

“Mr.” Much of Dolce’s jewelry is inspired by the colors of an Italian sunset,” explains the man who works for Dolce & Gabbana. “Aha. whispered the lady, looking up at the sky with a touch of disbelief, trying to match the jewelry to the scenery. Diamonds, amethysts, emeralds, yellow and blue sapphires, pink Tourmalines, golden garnets and pearls – so many gems, so many colors.

We had that night, we rode in a fleet of black luxury vans, From the relaxing sunset life of capers and lavender plants in the magical gardens of Masseria Montenapoleone, be transported to Pettolecchia La Fortezza along the coast like a mysterious velvety presence Highway driving, observing life outside of us. Looking out the window of our quiet, sheltered seat: a topless girl on the beach, a muscular mom feeding her son pane e sugo (olive oil, bread and spaghetti sauce) ), and several street urchins speeding by on bicycles.
