Firaxis delays Marvel's Midnight Sun until 2023

Take-Two Interactive has again delayed the release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Firaxis from XCOM developer is scheduled to arrive on October 7th, following delays late last year. The publisher now plans to release the game sometime in its fiscal 2023, which ends on March 31, 2023. Also, Midnight Sun will not appear on all consoles at the same time.

“We have decided to delay the release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns to ensure that the teams at Firaxis Games and 2K are there for our fans,” Take- Two said in a statement. “The game will be available on Windows PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 later this fiscal year. Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will follow later.”

Marvel’s Midnight Suns was first announced at Gamescom 2021. Unlike XCOM, the game includes a deck-building component. Fights will still unfold over the course of multiple turns, but not every superhero brings the same abilities to every fight, and you’ll draw cards to determine their abilities. Some of the characters that will be joining your roster include Wolverine, Iron Man and Blade. You’ll also create your own superhero called The Hunter.
