FIU Athletics announced Thursday the passing of junior linebacker Luke Knox. He is 22 years old.

Knox spent his first four college years at Miss Ole After the season, move to Florida International ahead of the 2022 college football season. He is the younger brother of Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox.

Knox joined the Rebels as part of the 2018 recruiting class.
The Tennessee native recorded a total of 11 tackles, two totals in his first three seasons Pass defense and a turnover recovery, then switch to tight end in spring practice in 2021. He reunites with McIntyre, the 2019 Ole Miss defensive coordinator, who is also Alumnus of Brentwood College in Tennessee who transferred to FIU Before the team’s season opener against Kobe Bryant, he is vying for the starting spot on the Panthers defense on Sept. 1. Knox, a business major, was honored on the Athletic Director Honor Roll at Ole Miss in 2020.
