Animatronic Death will appear as Blumhouse adaptation of the popular horror video game Five Nights at Freddy’s on the big screen has found its director.
Emma Tammy, her debut in Horror Western *) Blumhouse Announced Wednesday, Wind will direct the horror-thriller, which is in pre-production for early2023 principal photography.
Jim Henson’s Creature Shop has partnered with Blumhouse to bring the game’s most popular animatronic characters to life.
Created by Scott Cawthon, the game tells the story of a troubled security guard who starts working at the family-friendly Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. On his first night on the job, he realized that the night shift at Freddy would not be easy.
Pizzeria mascots Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, Foxy the Pirate Fox are the main animatronics in the original game, released in 2014, with the addition of other characters, it became a global franchise and grew into its own story and game world.
“ Five Nights at Freddy’s was asked more often than any other film I’ve ever made , I’m excited to confirm that it’s finally happening!” Blumhouse principal Jason Blum said in a statement. “With Emma Tammy at the helm, we are committed to making Scott’s vision for this film a reality. Rest assured, it will be and will be worth the wait.”
Five Nights has a script written by Caton, Tammy and Sescal De Baker. The film will be co-produced by Blumhouse and Striker Entertainment. Cawthon and Blum will produce the film. Russell Binder is the executive producer.
Tammi’s Wind as part of Midnight Madness at the Toronto International Film Festival at Premiere to positive reviews. She has Dollhouse , a horror thriller with Selena Gomez, set up at STX.
