: you and Do you know what you are eating? If you want to share, of course you can!
Kawajiri Mei: I’m about 6 months old! This is my first child and we are keeping the gender a secret for now.
How is your pregnancy going so far?
This has been a very introspective and curious time, especially when I think about how my body has changed and my emotions when a change occurs. I can’t believe I’m creating a new human being, I never thought I’d feel such a miracle. All went well, but I did have some uncomfortable issues when traveling in my second trimester.
Has anything surprised you during your pregnancy journey so far? Is there anything you didn’t think of?
I’m amazed now that I’m in my third trimester and I’m acting like a total angel – haha! I’m never really angry, just always happy. I was also surprised that my top cravings were healthy foods like oranges and salads.
You wrote a very sweet Mother’s Day post about everything you do We are sending moms and your own Mom Learning – What’s the best advice you’ve received so far? Has your pregnancy brought you closer to your mom?
I always think about myself and my baby. I try to keep my baby healthy and happy, aware that what I eat, my baby eats, what I say, my baby listens, and if I sleep well, my baby sleeps well too. I feel like I have a very strong connection to them. I now know how my mom feels and feels about me. When she was pregnant, she started worrying about me and feeling connected to me, which I totally understand now.
How would you describe your personal style? Pregnancy and how does it evolve during pregnancy?
In the early stages of pregnancy, I was still wearing all the clothes I normally wore. It feels a little tight, but I’m still wearing a miniskirt. Now I really can’t because the zipper doesn’t go all the way, so I’ve switched to making skirts and dresses out of stretch. I still love the mini silhouette and of course the kawaii style, so I do my best to stick to what I like. I will never be the kind of girl who wears simple maternity clothes.
