Fortnite
Fortnite Co-op Worlds And the leaks about these collaborations never end, and today, I found two of my favorite topics colliding directly with each other. German Fortnite leaker MidaRado posted a tweet yesterday asking readers to guess which of the four planned collaborations will come to Fortnite next week.
The options are Family Guy, DOOM, Lord’s Ring, he went back and added fate in a follow-up tweet saying he forgot it in the first list.
Of course, being a diehard of fate and someone still working on collecting as many ridiculously diverse IP skins as possible in Fortnite, I’d certainly love to see a potential Destiny How the 2 X Fortnite crossover will play out.
I guess while I love Destiny and it’s definitely a big game, we probably won’t see a super-scale crossover event. Most other video game co-ops we’ve seen are just a skin or two. Kratos, the Master Chief, Lara Croft and some extra cosmetics. Greater co-op might lead to in-game rewards like Dragon Ball Z’s Kamehameha or Nimbus Cloud items, but my guess is that Destiny 2 could have at most a few skins and some cosmetic items.
But what skin? Destiny 2 is full NPCs and of course customizable player guardians , but here are my options.
Destiny 2
Zavala – I don’t think there is more iconic character in Destiny than the Commander who has always been a mainstay at this point Zavala has been in the series for nearly eight years thanks to the tireless performance of Lance Reddick. If there was only one skin, it was him. If there are two, I think he is one of them.
Cayde-6 – Cayde-6 was a big part of Destiny during the release days of Destiny 1, Destiny 2, but he’s been dead since September 2018’s Forsaken expansion. If Bungie is doing this collaboration to further the current evolution of the game, a character whose content literally no longer exists would be an odd choice. Although…Fate fans will still buy him.
Destiny 2
Ikora Rey, Eris Morn, Mara Sov – if we could just do One male and one female skins, then the way we often see from a lot of Fortnite collaborations, here are my three potential picks for another slot. Ikora has been around as a name in past Fortnite skin interest surveys, and she’s recently had a revived role in the story. The same goes for Eris Morn, who is personally my choice. Mara Sov is another iconic Destiny character and a (sigh) “hot character”, so she’ll no doubt be considered.
Destiny 2
Crow/Uldren – with Orton mutant raven skin? Over the past year, no character has been more relevant to Destiny’s story, which continues with each new season. He would be a good choice.
Shaxx – he doesn’t relate to stories these days Totally relevant, but he’s an iconic character, and he’s also part of the character interest survey.
Non-human characters – I don’t think Caiatl can use hitbox even if you stuff her in Thanos shape. Mithrax could work as Captain Fallen, but I think there are too many other IPs before they start making Destiny Alien Species for it. Well, maybe there is an exception:
Destiny 2
WITNESS – Now here is an interesting idea of mine. If this collaboration is next week, it’s about Bungie launching Lightfall, which features The Witness, a brand new The villains we only glimpsed. They can debut him as a skin, and the smoke coming out of his head will get more kills in the game for more faces.
Other Cosmetics – Choose any number of jetties that can be used as gliders. Backbling could be any of Destiny’s signature guns, and could depend on the character shown (though someone deserves the Gjallarhorn). Mining tools can be swords or long blades, or if we’re making light weapons, Hunter’s Arc Staff or Void Blade, Titan Burning Maul and Warlock Dawnblade. If this co-op extends all the way to in-game items, I mean, almost also has a lot of potential Given the sheer number of weapons and super numbers at their disposal.
Either way, it’s going to be a great collaboration, even if it ends up being on a smaller scale. As soon as something leaks, I’ll post it and we’ll see if this has something to do with next week Lightfall reveal about anything, or whether we’ll have to wait a little longer.
