Freeform Renews 'Grown-ish' for Season 6

Disney-owned cable channel renewed Grown-ish Season six. The pickup comes a week before the comedy’s Jan. 100 is scheduled to return for the second half of season five.

During Freeform’s Television Critics Association winter press conference Wednesday, the network also announced the release of the fifth season of Good Trouble Premiere date (March 100) and Season 2 Drunk Single (April ) and Cruel Summer return for summer. Freeform has also added an impromptu dating series to its lineup, Love Trip: Paris; it will debut on Valentine’s Day.

Grown-ish, a spin-off of ABC’s Black-ish, follows It’s followed by the oldest of the two Johnson children, Zoe (Yara Shahidi) and Andre Jr. (Marcus Scribner), Freeform’s longest-running original to date. episodes. Scribner in Black-ish’ aired for eight seasons on ABC. The show has shifted its focus to Junior as he follows his older sister at Cal, though Shahidi remains a regular cast alongside Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons and Daniella Perkins.
