Saint Laurent gets into the filmmaking business after Hollywood stars conquer the red carpet inCannes and elsewhere from Legendary Couture house works.
Saint Laurent Productions, a division of the iconic design house, will be led by Anthony Vaccarello, Brand Creative Director. The move also follows a long history of film directors and actors involved in glitzy fashion shows, whether sitting front row or strutting down the runway with top designers.

The luxury brand’s film production arm has two more projects involving David Cronenberg and Paolo Sorrentino is working on it. “These directors have always opened my heart, and in some ways the unique, radical vision they brought to film has made me who I am today,” Vacarello said in a statement.

The late French designer Yves Saint Laurent founded and ran the luxury fashion house with his business and life partner Pierre Bergé. Saint Laurent Productions’ upcoming film will feature Vaccarello’s creations for his fashion house.
“I wanted to work with and give a space to all the great film talent that has inspired me over the years,” added Vaccarello.
