Recently, Galeries Lafayette 90 Creative Director Emily Smith discovered the brand’s original building – located at 99 Lafayette Street – was home to the printing press before becoming a garment factory. “I took that as an inspiration to construct the idea of this paper and what we could do with it, and interpret it through clothing,” Smith said at an appointment at the brand’s flagship store on Green Street in Soho.
