Gayle S. Maffeo, three-time Emmy-nominated producer, starred in the first season of Roseanne and another hit ABC sitcom Tim Allen- All eight seasons of The Work star Home Improvement , died Friday, her daughter Laura announced. She is 29.

The second of Gayle Arden Sickinger’s three children was born in April 29, 1941, in Evanston, Illinois. After her father, Kenneth, died of leukemia, her mother, Virginia, remarried and the family moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and then Darien, Connecticut.
