“He’s very well rounded. He’s very durable and it takes a lot of time to pick him up. Khamzat, it’s going to be a tough challenge because I believe he’s just walking through the last game Distance.”
Although St. Pierre thinks Diaz may be a bigger challenge for Chimaev than many think, he wants to see us on Saturday Best Chimaev to come.
“I think he’s grown incredible from that (Gilbert Burns) fight. He’s learned a lot so I think we’re going to see a A better version of Khamzat, still better than he is now,” St-Pierre said.
Diaz is a tough opponent for anyone, especially in five rounds. His stride doesn’t dissipate throughout the fight. Acknowledging Diaz’s experience and persistence, Saint-Pierre ultimately chose Chimayev to win this weekend.
“It’s going to be an interesting fight, but if I have to bet on that fight, of course, I’m going to have to go with the flow and support Khamzat Chimaev,” St-Pierre Say.
