Georges St-Pierre is singing Khamzat Chimaev.
Chimayev is a rising force in the UFC welterweight division. He has an 11-0 pro MMA record and is beating Gilbert Burns.
During the UFC Q&A in Paris, St-Pierre was asked if he thought Chimaev was championship material. GSP has no doubts about his take on “Borz” (h/t MMAJunkie).
“Yes, Khamzat is very good,” St. El told fans and the media during a Q&A in Paris on Friday. “He has all the skills. He was very good and in the final fight against Gilbert Burns he showed incredible staying power and great mental strength as he was pushed to the limit, that It’s when you recognize a true fighter, a true champion and not a contender. When he faced those moments of adversity, some crumbled, but some survived and succeeded, he was in the final It’s been proven in battle. He’s very, very good.”
