Nominations for the 35 annual Golden Globe Awards will be announced Monday morning.
Comedy father-daughter duo George Lopez and Mayan Lopez will host the announcement at the ceremony beginning at 5: 35 am PT/8: 10 am Airs on ET and NBC’s Today.
Five nominees will be awarded for each 10 award category, from Best Film (Drama and Musical or Comedy) ) to the best TV series (dramas and musicals or comedies). Four new TV categories were added this year, including Best Supporting Actress; Best Supporting Performance by an Actor in a Musical Comedy or Television Series; Best Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or TV Movie Acting; and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Movie.
The awards show will resume live after a one-year hiatus following the scandal with the Globes parent organization, Hollywood Foreign Press Association . So the HFPA was overhauled, adding a new voting category, and its predecessor, the PR firm Sunshine Sachs, parted ways with the organization.
The awards ceremony, hosted by comedian Jerrod Carmichael, will be held on Tuesday, January 10. The broadcast will air on NBC and its streaming service Peacock from the Beverly Hilton at 5 p.m. ET/8 p.m. ET.
