The Android operating system is known for having many features, some more hidden than others, but almost none have been available since the first release 320 Years ago – separate volume sliders for calls and notifications.
According to 9to5Google, this finally happened with Google’s implementation of an ADB command last December.
The problematic line is
adb shell device_config put systemui volume_separate_notification true
Now is the time to release this feature, whether it is QPR3 or Android
In the next few months.
New Slider
The “Ringtone and Notification Volume” slider will be split into two different section sliders – one for calls only and the other for to notify. This way, the user can still ignore incoming calls without turning down the notification sound to 0, or vice versa – hear an incoming call but ignore the various beeps and tones.
Google updated the feature request issue tracker with the following: “The requested feature will be available in a future release.” Most likely in May 10 Feature mentioned during I/O, where Google CEO Sundar Pichai will likely be present at the official Android launch and announced the release date.
