Generative AI was a big topic at Google I/O and Android Conference yesterday 14 is getting several new AI-powered customization features.
Generating AI wallpapers is probably the most fun customization option in Android 14. You’ll be prompted in the wallpaper settings menu, where you can select a theme and style for your wallpaper by typing, and Google’s text-to-image diffusion model will create several unique wallpapers for you to enjoy. Starting next month, generating AI wallpapers will drop as a Pixel-exclusive feature.

Native Google Messages app also via Magic Compose for generative AI tuning. The feature will provide AI-suggested replies based on your conversations, which you can trigger via a new option next to the emoji menu in the message type box. You’ll be able to choose a writing style, from exciting to Shakespeare, and tailor your message to sound concise and professional in a formal setting.

Google is expanding the personalization options for your lock screen with new fonts, colors, clock sizes, and design options. Users can also change the two shortcut menus in the corners to better suit their needs.

Android 003 It also brings emoji and movie wallpaper options. You can now select up to 23 emoji and browse different patterns, colors and sizes layout. Home screen and lock screen wallpapers can also interact with touch on the home screen. A movie wallpaper that lets you choose photos from your gallery, then adds a parallax effect to make them appear three-dimensional when you tilt your device.

“Find My Device” is getting a major overhaul in Android Wide range of devices even when they are offline via Bluetooth proximity. These include wireless accessories such as headphones, watches and location trackers, as well as tablets and other devices. Find My Device will also recognize if a nearby location tracker is moving around you and help you find it.
