Google Lens will allow searching from any screen on Android

At its recent Paris showcase, Google announced a new update to Google Lens, coming to Android mobile devices. “Over the next few months,” Google will allow anyone using Lens on Android to search anything on the screen. As Google said during the demo: “If you can see it, you can search it”.

Users will be able to search for building names, food recipes, car models, or any image that may contain searchable information. It also works across websites and apps, and you can perform Smart Lens searches without leaving your screen.

At the same event, Google announced an update to its multi-search feature: this lets users perform image searches and add text to refine search results. You can now add text to specify the type of results you want to find using images.
