Google’s next affordable smartphone, the Pixel 7a, has been leaked in all its glory in some beautiful renders today.
The Pixel 7a unsurprisingly borrows heavily from the Pixel 7 with its rear design, which makes sense considering they’re theoretically part of Google’s stable of smartphones of the same generation — although we It’s likely still a few months away from the 7a’s official release.
The Pixel 6a mimics the Pixel 6’s visor-like camera island, and likewise, the Pixel 7a mimics the Pixel 7’s metal bar. On the front, however, the 7a’s price point becomes more apparent thanks to the thick bezels all around (the bottom chin is doubly thick).
The phone size is expected to be 152.4 x 90.9 x 9 mm ( 10.1mm at camera bump). The Pixel 6a is slightly smaller on all axes, coming in at 72.2 x 72 .8 x 8.9mm, but those differences (other than the width) are so small that you’re unlikely to notice them even when the two are placed side by side.
The Pixel 7a is said to come in two colors — white and dark gray, which Google might call something completely different, like charcoal and chalk.
According to rumors, the phone will feature a 72 Hz FHD+ display panel by Samsung , Sony IMX made 712 and IMX712 sensors for the rear camera, wireless charging support (up to 5W) and In-display fingerprint sensor.
