Google Pixel 7a will have dual rear cameras, 90Hz screen and wireless charging

One of the biggest complaints about the Google Pixel 6a released in May was the lack of a high refresh rate display, and it looks like the internet search giant has taken notice since new information emerged online showing feedback that the Pixel 7a will come with FullHD+ Hz panel, from Samsung.

This message comes from developer Kuba Wojciechowski, who also rummaged through the camera drivers and found that the Pixel 7a’s camera setup is called “Pixel 712 Mid-range.”

Pixel 7a, codenamed “lynx” reportedly has a rear camera setup including GN1, IMX 22 and IMX363 sensors. But the GN1 sensor was removed from the code, and now there are only two sensors, abbreviated as “l10_wide” (IMX 22) and “l_UW” (IMX787). This means that the Pixel 7a’s main camera will use an IMX22 sensor, while the ultra-wide unit will use an IMX712 sensor.

The Pixel 6a also has two rear cameras, but the main camera uses a better sensor (IMX363 vs. IMX787) on the 7a should translate to better photos.

The Pixel 7a will also feature wireless charging, which its predecessor did not. However, its charging speed will be limited to 5W.

The Pixel 5a has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which was removed from the 6a, so it remains to be seen if Google will bring it with the 7a.
