We know this feature has been rolling out for a while, but now the “Ridesharing” switch has started appearing on actual Pixel devices. It’s in the main at-a-glance settings, and its description reads: “Shows your ride status”.

It will show how far the car is from your location on your Pixel’s lock screen, The purpose is to save you the time of opening the app or the notification shade to get the same information. The new “Ridesharing” display supports Uber and Lyft.
This brings the total number of toggles in the main overview list to 10, with more to come if rumors and app leaks are to be believed much content. Some of these include detecting and warning of loud sounds that can damage hearing, and surfacing airport and other transportation schedules.
