Google rolls out first Android 13 patch for Pixel, includes Bluetooth, battery and UI fixes

On Wednesday afternoon, Google began rolling out monthly security patches. This month’s release coincides with the first patch since the public version of Android 13 rolled out to all supported Google Pixel phones. This update provides fixes for a number of issues introduced with the Android 13 update.

This patch will address an issue with increased battery consumption caused by some wallpapers and will fix an issue where wireless charging cannot be activated in some cases . Also fixes a fingerprint scanner, a Bluetooth connection bug that occasionally failed to connect to some devices, and a bug that prevented some notifications from being displayed correctly on the lock screen.

This month’s update is now rolling out to Pixel 4 (4 XL), 4a, 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Build TP1A 5a, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. 2022.. Google says the Pixel 6a will receive the September update later this month.
