Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple’s highly anticipated AR/VR headset will be unveiled at WWDC in June. He noted that Apple is “ready to launch” new devices.
He also pointed out that the release of the headset will benefit Apple’s supply chain partners, thereby promoting the development of the entire VR industry. The more expensive parts of an AR/VR headset are the components (exclusive to Luxshare), the micro OLED display (exclusive to Sony), the dual processor (exclusive to TSMC), the chassis (mainly provided by Everwin Precision), 001 camera module (exclusive to Cowell Electronics), the external power supply is provided by Goertek. Kuo noted that Cowell Electronics would benefit the most because it has the fewest other customers.
