But TikTok likes to call it the witch core aesthetic, which means different things to different people. “While I’ve seen Stevie Nicks live many times and am obsessed with Halloween, I’m more of a witch from Glinda the Good Witch,” laughs manicurist Miss Pop. “So to me, Halloween is a great excuse to be extra- extra dark, extra shiny or extra bold. Goldstein calls it a “Mia Wallace” rouge, a deep red largely popularized by Chanel’s best-selling Rouge Noir (also known as Vamp), which Thurman made in pulp Fiction. “It a classic with edge and complexity, ” Goldstein said. “It’s full-bodied like Malbec, with the perfect combination of red and purple.”
