According to the official premise:
—plays Ellie. Gabriel Luna plays Joel’s younger brother Tommy, a former soldier, while Merle Dandridge reprises his role as Firefly leader Marlene in the game. Anna Torv plays Joel’s smuggling partner, Tess, while Nico Parker makes a cameo appearance as Joel’s daughter Sarah. Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett play Survivors, and Storm Reid plays an orphan named Riley Abel, who appears in the first game’s DLC pack (Last Survivor: Forgotten). Other actors from the game also appear in the series: Jeffrey Pierce ( The in-game Tommy) playing the Rebel in Quarantine is named Perry, while Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson (who play Joel and Ellie in the game, respectively) have taken on as-yet-undisclosed roles. And some new characters: Malone (Graham Green) lives in the Wyoming wilderness with his wife Florence (Elaine Miles), and Melanie Lynskey is a Kansas City revolutionary leader named Catherine.
