TOKYO, Sept. 14, 2022 – (JCN Newswire) – Hitachi (TSE: 6501) and Hitachi Construction Systems Ltd. announced that they have developed a touchless operation panel to build an elevator (1) without physical floor buttons, allowing users to experience a whole new feeling.

This newly developed non-contact operation panel replaces the floor buttons commonly found in elevator cars, enabling elevator users to register to reach their destination by simply placing their finger on the floor displayed on the panel (LCD) floor, so as to realize the non-contact use of the elevator. This newly developed non-contact operation panel is used in the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu Elevator, which was completed on August 31, 2022. Features of the non-contact operation panel 1.
