Halloween Favorites Hocus Pocus is actually coming out mid-summer, July 16, 1993.

The film begins with the Sanderson sisters being hanged in 1693 by the citizens of Salem, Massachusetts. But Winifred (Midler)’s spellbook imposes a curse that if a virgin lights a black flaming candle during the full moon on Halloween, the sisters will be resurrected. In the 300 years after the Sanderson sisters died, Thackery Binx, a young boy who turned into a cat, guarded the candle to prevent it from being lit.
However, in 1993, Los Angeles transplant Max Dennison (Omri Katz) lights a candle in an attempt to impress his crush Allison (Vinessa Shaw). The Sanderson sisters return to Salem, where Max, Alison, Thackeray, and Dany (Sora Birch) make it their mission to stop witches from taking the lives of innocent children.
Nearly three years after the release of Hocus Pocus, the Sanderson sisters in 2022 Disney+ sequel Hocus Pocus 2 . Midler, Najimy and Parker all reprise their roles as three young women – played by Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo and Lilia Buckingham – who must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witch from wreaking havoc again.
