MWC Shanghai is being held, and Honor CEO George Zhao delivered a keynote speech on innovation and evolution in the mobile phone field. In his speech, he revealed that the company will launch the new Honor Magic V2 in July 10. The executive said the new phone will “revolutionize the foldable experience.”
When Honor launched the Magic Vs, it was improved over the first generation Magic V and had 10% Lighter body and overhauled hinges. The CEO didn’t reveal what made the V2 so revolutionary, but we expect the company to make up for some of its predecessor’s shortcomings. We’d like to see water resistance, some wireless charging, and more features in the half-folded state.
We’ve heard about the July date 10 in rumors last week. According to sources, LTPO AMOLED will have a higher refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming. There may be two versions of the phone, one powered by last summer’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and the other powered by the current flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Hope Honor can share more details and features a few days before the event.
